What is a Slot?

A slot can go by many other names. It could be a “spot”, or a “ticket”, or a “seat”, or a “space”, etc. Basically, here’s how it works. If your business offers something and you can only take 10 people, then you would create 10 slots.
 

What qualifies as a “Booking”?

A booking is when one of your clients “books” or “registers” for one of your slots. So if you have an event and you get 20 clients to register, that would be 20 bookings. If you offer the event twice a month and you get 15 clients to register for the first one and 12 for the second one, that would be 27 bookings.

 

What are the “Standard Booking Tools”?

Included are single listing, booking, and thank-you pages as well as a single follow-up process. Each can be customized per thing you sell.

 

How do the credit card payments work?

Credit card payments are managed through Stripe, a partner of Slottable. When you enable paid slots through Slottable, you will be promoted to set up an account with Stripe. Once verified with Stripe, you can immediately charge your participants for slots they register for. Revenue from the registrations go directly to your bank account.

 

What are the “Pro Booking Tools”?

In addition to the Standard Booking Tools, Pro enables you to have an unlimited number of listing, booking, and thank-you pages as well as unlimited follow-up processes for the things you sell and their associated slots.
 

What can I do with the CRM Integrations?

With CRM integrations, you can add and update participants (contacts), tag contacts, and trigger more elaborate campaigns and follow-up through your CRM. We currently support all versions of ActiveCampaign and Keap.

 

What can I do with “Locations”?

Locations enable you to easily manage and offer slots that are offered in multiple physical locations, thus enabling participants to choose slots that best fit their schedule and location. For example, a business may offer a day-long event on the same day, but in three different cities.

 

What are “Facilitators”?

Facilitators are typically leaders, consultants, moderators or anyone else who leads a particular slot. For example, a business may offer a certification course on Saturdays delivered by two different facilitators in different rooms with a limit of 10 participants per room. Participants would be able to not only pick which Saturday works best, but also which Facilitator they prefer.
